Wednesday 9th Oct.
10.00 - 11.30
We've all come across those books, the ones that you just can't put down. Just how does the author keep us burning the midnight oil?
This workshop will focus upon the ways in which the reader can be encouraged to keep on turning the pages, from the nature of the story, to the key ingredients of a fast-paced novel, to the way in which the novel can be structured. I will guide you through the process, including pointers on what not to do, as well as invaluable tips on the right way to keep your novel moving. The workshop will be interspersed with exercises relating to the points made, some being individual exercises, others with a partner, all aimed at helping to create that unputdownable novel.
