Short Story Competition 2024

Are you a writer, or have you ever thought of writing a story? Our free short story competition is a great opportunity for writers and aspiring writers everywhere.

We are very pleased to announce that this year's judge is literary agent Lisa Eveleigh

We are looking for stories of between 1000 and 2000 words.

The theme of the story is:

Transformation

 

You are free to interpret the theme in any way you choose.

Prizes:  Over €100 worth of prizes thanks to the generous sponsorship of Greekscape

First Prize: €70

Second Prize: €30

Third Prize:  'Into the Woods' by John Yorke

The competition is free to enter.

The competition is open to everyone, anywhere in the world (including all participants in Mani Lit Fest, with the exception of any organisers directly involved in running the competition).

Please send your entry in English and in either .doc or .docx format.

All entries will be judged anonymously. Please include your full contact details only in the body of the email when you enter.

By entering the competition, you give us the right to publish your story on our website if chosen.

Otherwise, the winner retains all rights to their work

First and Second prize will be given in the form of book tokens if available or paid into a bank account if book tokens are unavailable..
